    Default Where to start a company?

    Hi everyone,just new here.
    I thinking about to start a company in Indonesia but not sure which construction to choose.PMA or pt with a nomniee?
    I my case I need to buy land from arround 3 hec or maybe more.
    Wich one is the most suported by Indonesia law in matter of secure
    keeping the land on my name.
    Any idea or advice will be welcome :idea: :?:

    No disrespect intended Marcel, but I'm continually suprised that some people who are planning major investments of time and/or money would ask such VERY elementary business questions of complete strangers.

    PMA is usually the best in this sort of situations.

    We are going to make a tropical plant nursery bert

    I also thinking about the PMA contruction but I understood that
    the tax rate is higher than a make a pt with a nominee.
    Is that right?

    No. The corporate tax rate is the same for all structures. The top tax rate for all structures is 30% (over IDR100M).

    Some types of business such as mining and oil have different rates.

    Well, there maybe something tricky with personal income tax here, but I am not sure about that.

    And "hiring" an Indonesian director and secretary doesn't come for free either. You will need to pay them

    Even if its more expensive, I still would go for the PMA. You are less dependent. You could be fired ;)

    Well, there maybe something tricky with personal income tax here, but I am not sure about that.
    There is something odd about personal income tax. It seems that most Indonesians aren't registered for tax purposes although they are required to be. The laws are there but to date they aren't enforced probably because the government believes that their income is too low i.e. below the threshhold.
