    Default Expat Wages for Balinese?

Greetings from Mauritius. I have questions for the ‘other way round’. Our company would like to recruit 2 spa therapists to work in Mauritius, as expat for 1 or 2 years. How much do you think I should offer as wages for someone to work abroad, taking into consideration airticket & accommodation be paid by the company in Mauritius ?

For a similar expat position in the admin department, how much would be a good salary? Would US$ 600-700 be interesting enough for a Balinese to expatriate? Any comments most welcome.

    Thanks, Terry

    Firstly welcome Terry.

Firstly is the wage you offer weekly or monthly.

As I do not think many people here would be in your position i.e. offering a Balinese work abroad I would contact an employment agency or place an ad in the local papers. See what feedback you get from that. Find out what a spa workers earns in Bali and then make it attractive enough for the to move for that time. I am sure it would be a great experience of them.

I think you should pay according to the standards of Mauritius.

If the jobs are specialty jobs no one else could do, more.

What is the Mauritius average wage for a spa therapist?
    That's It !!

After reading the above article, 600-700 USD monthly sounds very reasonable...
