Container of personal goods

Postby Boo on Fri Sep 21, 2007 7:25 am

We have just had our container of personal belongings arrive in Bali.

After reading about everyones negative experiences, we were getting ready for the worst.

When we were in Bali last we shopped around and found a company to do the customs clearance and delivery
from Surabaya to Bali. Once back in Australia we found that it was nearly impossible communicating with the
company and most emails taking 3 - 5 days for a response. When we did finally get a response, our queries were
not answered anyway. Time to find a new agent we thought.

We finally got on to another agent who was happy to answer all our questions and give us quick responses to
our emails. Most responses were within one hour and if he was out of the office, he even responded from home
sometimes as late as 11pm with an apology. The cost was the lowest we had as well and about half what some
others had quoted. He gave us advice as to details on our pacing list and documents as well as which goods to place
at the rear of the container.

We had our goods delivered last Tuesday and did not have to pay one cent in tax/duty or under the table money.
The men who came to deliver the goods were extremely professional and polite and I can throughly recommend them.

The company details:

That's good to hear you found an honest agent, Boo.

I'll keep them in mind for when I ship some personal belongings.

I wonder if they could handle Jakarta too.

I too will have to ship personal effects from Italy in the near future.

Anyway, glad to read of your positive experience with this Company.

As the capitol city of Indonesia, I'm fairly confident that you can rest assured. :)

Boo, we too had an easy time of it, without an agent. However we did pay a Rp50,000 fee so that my collection of music cds - wouold not have to be taken away and censored :D

I also gave the guys some sun glasses that I had bought as gifts. However total cost to collect the goods ourselves from customs at Dps was say £10.
