Hi Ron, I think you mentioned at the start of this thread being able to use internet banking for international transfers FROM the Commonwealth Indonesian account TO an Australian account...is this correct? Also does it have to be CBA to CBA? I am having great difficulty finding a convenient way to transfer funds from this end in Bali back to Australia. Not large amounts just enough to cover some expenses I left behind at home when i moved over here. I have a Permata bank account here and can only make an international transfer at the branch grrrr... also i have a Debit Visa which is useless as I cant even use the VISA facility on it to pay any bills at home or purchase anything online!!! Any suggestions????
    Thanks and regards

I was just charged, by a large store in depasar, 3% for using my indonesian ATM CBA card for purchases, massive argument, left my purchases, which involved some large items - eg modena cooker, sinks, taps, etc etc etc, walked out of the store. Five minutes later, phone call from the "owner" to say they had made a mistake.....my comment - ok that's fine, but now I want a discount!!!!!
I got it....pays to be a bitch sometimes
Score one for the bule! (doesn't happen often)
Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

Great service, whilst I was there, I found out that it's possible to transfer from my Indonesian rupiah account into my Australian account by internet banking, no waiting at the branch, and no fee. Also got my ATM card on the spot. Overall a pretty good experience! And no, I don't work for them
    Hi
Did you have a commonwealth account in australia? the website mentions something about having a reference letter from CBA ????
