KIPEM = Kartu Identitas PEnduduk Musiman....or in English a seasonal Identity Card/Temporary ID card..meaning he/she is not from here (Bali),
the Imigrasi can see that from the KTP provided. so they ask for a KTP issued in Bali.
If your sponsor doesn't have it and is out of the country..then it will be impossible to get a KIPEM,
proces...
1: the imigrasi wants proof of residence..your sponsor needs to go to the kepala desa (or pak RT/RW and on to the Pak Lurah) ask for a surat pengantar, in this letter stated they know your sponsor.
2:Surat domicili, also from the kepala desa (or pak rt/rw,lurah)
3:they (kecamatan) could also aks for a statement from the employer that your sponsor is working for them.
4: bring the papers to the kecamatan and pay 50K rupiah, wait for three days (tops) and pick up the KIPEM.
probably easier to change sponsors ;) make sure your next sponsor holds a KTP of the area wherever you're dealing with imigrasi.

you're welcome...just ask one of your neighboors, to sponsor you...if you can't find someone, then your best option is to use an agent.

I'm not sure what you mean by that....whereas before visa agents and those set up as CV companies, even by locals, they can now no longer sponsor visas of westerners...
On my latest Retirement KITAS, (my seventh one), my "sponsor" is a visa agent.
I got finger-printed and photographed (again) a couple of days ago at the Immigration office.
No problems...
what CanonMan probably means is that CV cannot sponsor westerners anymore with a working permit / KITAS?
Yep, sorry, I guess my writing there was a bit alien! I meant that IF a visa agent was set up as a CV company then they wouldn't be able to sponsor any new visas etc.

Just found out I cant change sponsors mid visa but immigration can 'help me out' for a fee......
Thats if i cant get my sponsors KIPEM.
Gotta love Bali
hahaha...yeah if you can get the KIPEM, they are actually not helping out but just doing their job..helping would be forgetting about the KIPEM, or accepting change of sponsor..
maybe you can contact Bali Ide or another visa agency to get some help regarding your extension.

Iv had Bali expat services doing it.
As long as I can get this and my last extension done Im all good, Ill either get the family Kitas or another sosbud through someone else.
