Ok, I am just getting a 60 day tourist visa , then will leave and return via malaysia every 30 days after that. I had some incorrect advice from a travel agent but its all sorted now.
The indonesian consulate in perth advised me that its not possible to apply for a sosbud visa from within Indonesia and that it must be done from Australia. This is different to what I've read above, whats the real story?. I guess Ill have to investigate further when I arrive [next sunday].
Indonesia here I come!

Dan the real story it that for a sosbud you have to do it OUTside indonesia.
INdonesia you can just find your agency for ask a sponsor or better find it to yourself.
