Hi again.
Sorry for boring you always with same questions.
Which is the best visa-run for sosbud ?
Singapore, KL or?
Did you know how long or somebody can do it?
Where you go when your sosbud is going to finish ?
I found a post of Bert really interesting but it's dated 2003 !!
Is still active ?

thanks
SIN
1. I have used http://www.hana-express.com.sg/ in the past. A good and efficient service.
2. Easy to process a social visa yourself. 2 or 3 days
3. Return flights = circa $200
KL
1. No visa agents in KL so you must apply in person
2. Easy & cheap to travel DPS-KL via Easy Jet
BKK
1. No visa agents in BKK so you must apply in person
2. Easy to process a social visa yourself. 2 or 3 days
3. Not so cheap to fly DPS-BKK directly
4. If you are not in a rush, cheap to fly DPS-BKK via KL using Easy Jet
Where You Go When Your Sosbud Is Going To Finish ?
1. Somewhere outside the Republic of Indonesia
2. Kerobokan Jail

how you getting on with yours manuel ?
Manuel must have obtained his visa, as he's already in Bali.

ah so he is.. lucky chap.. im calling the Indonesian embassy in london tomorrow to weigh up my options..
I believe the "best" sosbud visa run is still Singapore.
Same day service, provided that you can get a flight arriving there early enough.
Haven't tried KL. I imagine Bangkok would be a nightmare unless you enjoy congested traffic and air-pollution.
Darwin's OK, too, or at least it was when I went there once.
One day, friendly staff, no extra charge, no agent needed. Flights between Bali and Darwin are not always convenient (and over-priced).
Perth is also "reasonable", but used to take me three days.
A bit of "arm-bending" and a one-day scenario is possible (pay a bit extra). Prices for return flights to Perth have become ridiculously expensive.
:D
Just sidetracking away from topic a little, but what is it with the prices with flights to and from Perth now?? - mahal...
And also the schedules - the majority of Garuda flights, DPS-PER depart at midnight, arriving around 4am - what a shocker
Yet, there are very few empty seats, on any of the flights I've taken lately, both on and off season....hmmmm
It's all a conspiracy...
Life's a beach......
