Default Visa run to Kota Kinabalu

The current Bali Advertiser has an article on using Air Asia to Kota Kinabalu for a visa run. They seem to have about 4 flights a week. Fares vary but a mid price is about Rp700,000 before taxes etc are added - this then jumps to around Rp1,000,000.

I’m currently away from Bali, in Singapore.
The Bali Adv website only gives info on visa runs to Singapore.
Can you give any more details

    • Presumably, there is an Indo Consulate in KK?
    • Visa processing costs?
    • How long to process a visa there?
    • Oh yeah, and, while I know nature is the big attraction of he KK region, does the article talk about the shopping & cultural opportunities in KK?
    • AOB?

I’ve “done” Sarawak. Yet to “do” Sabah.
    Thanks

The writer of the article had jut done the visa run I think, but he/he did not five details of the Consulate there. There are some details of tourism and hotel which makes it sound interesting.

The writer had written about Kuching about a month ago, and on that trip had got messed about by Air Asia.
