Hi,
we've just moved to bali, found a house, kids in school, all going swimmingly (sort of). The 4 of us came on tourist visas, and am flying to Singapore where we were going to convert these to social visas (have a friend who is willing to sponsor us) So far, pretty much what the good folk in this forum have explained so well. But yesterday the school said that they could help getting student visas for the two kids (but couldn't help the parents). I guess my question is: does this make it easier for us if they do this? Does this mean the kids wouldn't have to do the singapore run? (anybody want to look after two lovely anklebiters for one night?)
thanks, Phil
Hi Phil, I have no experience with this, but looking at the info on
Student Visa Indonesia, study in Indonesia, studying in Indonesia
it seems that if the kids get a social visa as a first step, they can then get student visas which could let them stay 5 years I think without doing a visa run. At least that's how I read it
thanks guys,
that sounds very promising. 2 airfares instead of 4! will let you know what the school says tomorrow.
