Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get red background passport photos in Denpasar?
Need them to apply for research visa.
Thanks!
Any shop that does passport photos should be able to do it. It seems the standard color background for passport photos in Indonesia.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.
Yes correct, look for a sign that says 'FOTO ADAT' they do packages the way the 'officials' want them. You need to explain for wat issue it is as there are many different combinations. IE for a renewal KITAS you need 18 yes 18!! pictures in different formats.
For only a few rupias they put the picture on a CD for you for future use.
Many thanks!
I hope you are right Hermit, but I had my KITAS renewed in March (for the third time) in Denpasar and they wanted 18 pictures AND they took a picture of me AND they took my fingerprints again.
Oh BTW people, just in case you don't know. If you go to the immigration office be properly dressed. No shorts or sleeveless Tshirts. They can send you away.
With digital processing it is possible to have any colour background on photos today.
Regards Jimbo
They still wanted photos from me. I have just been through the change from KITAS to KITAP - and they wanted many, I guess it was 18. For sure, near the end of the process they take you photo at Immigration, but most of the paperwork where the photos are needed had already been done by then.
Maybe you are not using an agency,or your agency is not up to date? What kind of Visa?I hope you are right Hermit, but I had my KITAS renewed in March (for the third time) in Denpasar and they wanted 18 pictures AND they took a picture of me AND they took my fingerprints again.
My retirement Kitas extension was in december last year, also in Denpasar. The year before i did not need to provide any pictures also.
The immigration office does not really like people who do not use agencies,so they might ask these things to make it more problematic.Once, long ago when i wanted to extend a sos.bud visa they said i had to bring my sponsor along.he was temporarily out of the country, but an agency fixed it for me without any problem.
Hi Hermit,
I do use (for years) a prof agent, he does that all the time for many people and is almost permanently at the immigration office in Denpasar running around with papers. I do have a retirement visa (Kitas) BTW.
Not debating your version but that is my own experience (and from others I know). As so many things here you hear different things all the time.
It is not a big deal bringing the photo's if they want them but it is good to know, next year I will see what 'they' want then.
