Hi everyone!
I can't find information about the fifth extension of social visa. Is it possible fifth extension of social visa? I have a 30-day social visa stamp and I need stay in Bali for 6 month, but I've herd: "The 5th extension is normally not used as it requires an approval from Jakarta". Is this true? Does anyone have a similar experience? Where can I find information? thanks, I hope to get an answer
For 6 months you only need 4 extensions because the first extension comes after 60 days. Then you do a visa run.
I think the fifth extension is only used if you are in the process of changing your sobud to kitas or different visa & you have already started the process.
I did the first extension after 30 days
my question is: How long can I stay on my soc.visa, 5 or 6 months? (My visa for 30 days, not 60 days as usual)
I suggest checking your visa...There is no 30-day sos.bud.visa.
did you get the visa you have, at an embassy or did you get it at arrival on Bali?
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)
Gilbert, I got it at the embassy in Kuala Lumpur. I've got a social visa, it says 30 days (100% sure). And I've already made two extended...![]()
very strange to say the least...
never the less how strange it might be,
a sosbud visa gives you the right to stay in Indonesia for a period of 180 days...
so if your index (visa number) is that of a sosbudvisa you should be allowed to extend it up to 5 times in your case.
hope it works out okay for you,
tip...if you do your extensions yourself you might want to ask to meet the kepala at the kantor imigrasi and ask him/her,
if you use an agent ask him/her to check with the kantor imigrasi at the next extension.
ask in a way that you put the words in to their mouth and act lightly (as if there nothing wrong/up) for example like this
" hey last night I looked actually for the first time at the visa in my passport and it says sosbud, so that means I can stay up to 180 days in Indonesia, right? "
goodluck
