hey, did you hear of the social budaya visum with the code 402? (422 is for family/friends) This one is supposed to be for voluntary work, but they never told me about it at the embassy in Holland. I just saw this in the passport of my friend who will do voluntary work also....

I only registered for the first time at the police when I moved to Sengiggi, and they charged me Rp50,000. Actually my husband did it for me I didn't go in.
Previous to that I didn't register and never had a problem, although I never had to deal with the police either.
They issued me with a certificate that expired when my current extension expired, and said I had to come back and pay again if I extended.

What's the go there? does anyone else have to pay? That's quite a bit of money for us.

Anyway, I think 421 is the social cultural visa code. For certain, it was my SB visa code for years.

yes, 421 and 422 are both the codes if you visit family or friends...

um i can't remember the code i had back in 97-99 when i studied on sb-visa. since around 99 i've had 422.. .i think.

Your Indonesian sponsor needs to supply:

* Sponsorship letter of sponsor
* Copy of sponsor identity card whos residence is in Indonnesia - Bali (KTP)
* Copy of sponsor family register
* Copy of sponsor bank account statements

what is "sponsor family register" ?

do the sponsor need to have a certain amount of money on his acount to be a valid sponsor?

I have an old sponsorletter but not sure if it`s up to date or corect!

This is an example... if wrong please send me an PM so I could get it fixed before sending it to my sponsor for signing.

I have had many social visas. My husband is my sponsor all he provides is the letter copy of KTP & copy of our wedding certificate. Even before we were married it was just a copy of his KTP & letter. We have never had to give bank statements (except for his UK Visa!)

APA? Kim the Swede…WHAT? For a social/cultural visa you say your sponsor needs to provide a copy of sponsor family register AND a copy of sponsor bank account statements!

All one needs is an original sponsor’s letter and a copy of their Indonesian ID.

NO, NO, NO, there is NO requirement for the sponsoring family to declare their personal wealth! Where the hell do these ridiculous ideas come from?
