Roy, Indonesia is not the only country that has visa on arrival. Milan posted that she got a visa on arrival into Korea, however she was accompanying her husband.

Greg, the in's and out's of getting a visa into Korea for your girlfriend is a question for a Korean forum, not a Bali forum. There are few members here who have experience in your exact situation, even Milan was accompanying her husband.

I suggest you try Thorn Tree where lots of posters have direct experience with visa issues into Korea.

Gee, really? Well guess what, except for US citizens, there is no visa on arrival in South Korea.

She said that? Where?

Indonesian need a visa, there is no VOA. Unless traveling through, and having a valid visa (and ticket) for one of the countries Korea has a visa-waiver agreement with.

Milan is married to an Italian, and Korea has a visa agreement with Italy.

If you have a APEC Business card however, you can travel without applying for a visa to these countries: Australia, France, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Papua New Guinea.

Even if you are an Indonesian national.

i entered s. korea in november 2003, without having previously obtained a visa (on an australian passport). i was originally intending to stay in transit for 12 hours, but decided to catch a bus into seoul. my wife, on an indonesian passport was with me. we were there less than one day, but nevertheless still exited the airport / cleared immigration. it was easy and straightforward, but may have changed since then.

Perhaps - she had an Australian PR visa in her Indonesian passport.

Been to Seoul twice on a UK passport, both VOA...

Frankly Roy, no one gives a flying BEEP what you used to call it in the military. It's not my problem that some of you can't focus your minds long enough to read the thread and then are arrogant and ignorant enough to make comments in it. We're both in Bali. We're going to Korea. People who thought anything different are mistaken. This discussion group says ask questions get answers. If you don't want people to ask questions here. Then take down this discussion group.
