Hi,sg

You said to Roy:
...I'll take that as an "I'm wrong on this but I'm not big enough to apologise"...

You've only been a member of this forum since April 2007. Maybe you're only beginning to learn that "transparent Roy" is the living repository of all current and relevant knowledge relating to Bali, at least from an expat's perspective (particularly his own).

You should also be aware of the fact that Roy, unlike you and I, lives in the cultural heart of Bali. Sanur doesn't count for much (maybe it's Bali's back-side, or something). An "apology" from Roy if he's made a mistake? Go and wash your mouth out with arak.

You probably also missed Roy's recent blog-site, (now thankfully removed), during his period of forced exile from here. Hmmm. He was pretty "transparent" there and I note that he doesn't mention it, nor even "apologise" for that gross transgression. He was so desperate in that that he fabricated posts and replied to them. Please don't get me wrong here...I have a high regard for Roy's writing skills, enthusiasm etc. His dark-side, on the other hand, sucks. Let's see what his response to this will be.

Feel happy in the knowledge that as far as Roy believes,
...I guess in time, you will learn...
(My emphasis.)

Oh...and I just saw Roy's picture of a "real" cheque. I think he's telling you that the only real bank in Indonesia is BCA. Like his beloved Immigration Agent.

And don't you like it recently how Roy loves to whack images in his posts? I can only surmise from that that he's finally got a faster internet connection in Bunutopia.

Back on topic...
Fiskal in December 2007 was still Rp 1,000,0000
Departure Tax was Rp 150,000

Although students over 12 get an exemption. You simply get the school to write a letter confirming they are a full time student.
