After summer we - my Indonesian wife, our two small children and myself - want to come to Indonesia on a social visa. No problem so far, we only need our wedding book(?) and copies of the childrens birth certificat. But because her family lives in Semarang (Java) and we also want to spend some time ( 4 months?) in Bali we have a problem because it seems that you have to extend your visa in the same immigration-office each time. It means that we have to go from Bali, every month to Semarang, just for the extension of the visa . Is it right? Or are there other possibilities for us?

My understanding has always been that you have to do all your extensions in the one office. Maybe you could start off in Bali. So you do your extensions there.
