Welcome Back, Kadek!

Postby milan on Fri Jul 25, 2008 10:10 am

It's such a pleasure to see you back here again and read your posts on the rich culture of Bali but also on your visit to Germany.
How is it going so far? Beside being with Thorsten, of course...

Hi Milan,

Thank you for your greetings. I know I have been missing from the forum for a while. I do read the forum sometimes, but I don't post as often - as you can see, in almost three years I have not even reached 200 postings!

I had finished my course in Kassel last Friday. It was good but a bit dissappointing. I was not as busy with studying as I expected and only had less than 2 hours of German lessons in the morning. But it was good experience and I graduated - so to speak. Now I just need to write a 5000 words essay about the State of the Environment!

Ah but it was an interesting group with a bunch of interesting (perhaps also weird) people. Hey there were 30 students from Afghanistan! Many were women, with very good education and not at all like the stereotype we seen on TV.

BTW, I couldnot believe that I even got a stomach upset (Bali Belly) from eating such sandwich from a the train station!!! I thought this can only happen in Bali!

And unfortunately time is running and soon I will have to go back to Australia.

Anyway...

Cheers

Hi Kadek

You can get it anywhere, just under a different name, Bali beli, Delhi belly, Montezuma's revenge!

Hope you are feeling better now.

Hi Mimpi,

Yes, that is for sure. Maybe I was only trying to make myself feel a bit better knowing that hygience standard in Bali is not so good.

Sometimes I wonder how Environmental Health Officers who conduct those health and hygience inspection and enforce such regulations in Australia would try to solve the hygience standard in traditional Balinese markets. Perhap they will close these markets for ever!

Hi Jimbo,

Hmm.... quality for sure is good but number is always more impressive, or :?:

Cheers

Hi Milan,

Thank you for your greetings. I know I have been missing from the forum for a while. I do read the forum sometimes, but I don't post as often - as you can see, in almost three years I have not even reached 200 postings!

Well, you have been busy with more important things such as getting yourself an education not to mention travelling and more education, so it's very understandable but also as Jimbo says, quality is best than quantity

CONGRATULATIONS! Well Done!

Ah but it was an interesting group with a bunch of interesting (perhaps also weird) people. Hey there were 30 students from Afghanistan! Many were women, with very good education and not at all like the stereotype we seen on TV.

I'm sure these people feel so lucky as to be so willing and ready to all the education they could obtain which they never thought possible.

BTW, I couldnot believe that I even got a stomach upset (Bali Belly) from eating such sandwich from a the train station!!! I thought this can only happen in Bali!

That goes to show you that everywhere one could get this as per mentioned by mimpimanis. Not only in Bali.

And unfortunately time is running and soon I will have to go back to Australia.

Glad you could keep us updated with your progress on this trip

Anyway...

Thanks!

Cheers
Kadek

Ciao!
