Sewing Machines etc

Postby Gordon on Wed May 26, 2004 3:15 am

Hi everyone,
We are returning to Bali for the first time (shamefully) since the bomb. We hear that a lot of locals are still suffering through loss of breadwinners, loved ones etc. It has been suggested that we bring up items such as a sewing machine which may help someone get back on their feet with dignity. Questions we need advise on are
a. Who should we approach on arrival?
b. Can you advise any other items which the locals could put to good use?
We have not got a stack of money but would be gratefull for any ideas or feedback
Roll on next Friday
Thanks
Gordon

Hi Gordon.

I am sure Adopta Co-op would especially appreciate a sewing machine. It has been set up to assist widows affected by the bombing. Have a look at the website, it has contact details too. Have a great trip
