Hi Mac, your wording has me a little confused,, but I think what you are looking for may already be posted, just use the search option, buying , renting, visa status,, stuff like that has been gone over many times on the forum, just seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened,, sorry, not much sleep and I'm losing it .... If you still have quistions dont hesitate to post,, Frog

Hello – what was your name – Rainer?

I’m German like you, so I guess I understand your question

All you need to rent a house/apartment is money, on a short term probably payable in advance, there is no working permit (Arbeitserlaubnis) required, forget your ideas about renting contracts you will know from Germany.

Not sure about your question in respect to utilization, but you will pay your rent just like everywhere else, based on time not on utilization!

Best regards
Thorsten

PS: your postings are a kind of amusing sometimes for me and confusing for others, please don’t take this as an offence, but sometimes you are using the wrong English termination for something you’d like to express, i.e. waist = Taille, to waste = verschwenden.
Nichts für ungut !

Hiya Mac

Detlev

Alles klar, Herr Kommissar! (Bert)
I was actually practicing my German (don't use it much) and asking a silly question  about the renting situation —a question I later answered for myself.

Cheerio
