Hi everybody

I'm planning to spend 2 months in bali with my wife, my 3 years old boy and my 5 mounths daughter. I would like to know where I could find kids material like baby diappers and food

If you're staying in the Kuta area, Matahari department store in Kuta Square is well stocked for baby products.

You can get diapers (if you mean the plastic kind) just about anywhere these days. I haven't seen baby food up in the north, but my kids are far past that stage now, but you can make your own if you're planning on being here for two months and aren't planning on being in the south. Small kids are actually quite easy to deal with here; it's when they're my kids' ages that they get into the minta uang thing. Your three year old will learn that quickly if he hangs out with local kids. My second child used to sneak out of the kampung to go shopping on the main street when she was four. Now it's sneaking out to find boys.

Doc, That is the perils of having daughters. My four have been 10 times harder than my two sons but you trust your values have been carried over to them and then you trust them.

My daughter was only 2 months old when we went to Bali for the first time, returned to US for a month, decided to go back to Bali and stayed here since then. She's 8 months old now. For all of those time we were here, we could find anything you could think off.

Diapers are sold in almost all supermarket in Bali. Huggies, Pampers, and other imported brands are available in major supermarket [Hero, Tiara, Alfa, Gelael, Delta].

I fed her Gerber when we're in the states, now she still eats Gerber food, [Hero Supermarket has wide range of varieties], the Gerber juice, Gerber Fruits and Gerber Finger Food. Of course, nothing's better than fresh homemade baby food.

She was on breast milk for the first 7 months, now she's taking Enfamil A+ which is also available in most major supermarket.

Needs Avent bottles and accessories as well as Medela products if your wife breastfeeds, there are few specialty stores in Denpasar, one of which I often visit is Nikita [Jl. Gatot Subroto, Denpasar].

In conclusion, just take your family to vacation in Bali, and no worry on finding baby/kids item here.
