How do I get a Garuda EC Card without KITAS?

Hi all and thanks in advance for any replies to this...

I'm travelling back to Oz 5 or 6 times in the next few months and have heard about this EC Plus card that gives the equiv of Gold Freq Flyer status for something like 1.5 mill a year (including access to lounges, 15kg extra baggage allowance etc).

It says on the form that one needs to have a KITAS to be registered, and the Garuda Office in Sanur says that the 1.5 mill has to be paid to Bank Mandiri first before handing in the form to their Denpasar office.

Problem is, I have a multiple-entry business visa, not a KITAS and don't want to stump up 1.5 mill without some idea I can get registered for the card.

So I'm after some advice from expats on this as I'm new to Bali - as I hear everything is negotiable, how would I go about making sure I can get this card? Is there a 'fee' I would pay? How would you imagine this might practically happen? If you have the card, how did you go about getting it?

Your thoughts and advice would be very much appreciated.

I really don't think this would be possible, not with a big airline company like Garuda. But hey the only way to find out is by going in there and asking.

Its easy no Kitas no card.
I need my Kitas before they would accept my paper work.

After you fly with Garuda your status will quickly become gold , l've have had one for ages. save the 1.5 mill and just accumulate the points first.
