Tell me how you obtained your visa to stay in Bali ?
Is it harder know ?
do you have to fly out to obtain new visa or can you pay someone who flys out with several passports payes a few bribes and has them renewed as they do in thialand

Visas

Being married to a Balinese, I use a social/cultural visa...not that marriage to an Indonesian is a requirement for this type of visa. I obtain them at any Indonesian Embassy, though I personally prefer the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok just from experience. A personal appearance, and sometimes, even an interview is required. Also required is an Indonesian sponsor, and a letter from them, as well as a copy of their Indonesian ID card.

The social/cultural visa is a six month visa, but it requires monthly renewal for the last four months of the visa period. This can be done in Bali, and I have learned it is far better to rely on an agent to do this for you, rather than making personal appearances at the immigration office in Denpasar.
