Hi all,

New here and will be coming to Bali in a couple of months with our 1-yr old baby boy. Can we get your advice as to whether the bird park is a safe (from bird flu) place to visit?

If anybody has suggestions of other places, we would greatly appreciate them...he is very interested in animals...

Rest assure, the Bali Bird Park is safe from bird flu. First, because the scientists there are watching over their residents "like hawks," and second, bird flu is only transmitted (with difficulty) by continuous, close contact with infected birds.

The Bali Bird Park is beautiful and interesting, and so is the Reptile Park, next door.
