Can I bring a vibrator through Bali airport customs when I come visit my fiance? Is the customs agent going to shake me down for cash?

You are leaving yourself wide open for this one!! in more ways than one,,, I'm not sure what an x-ray inspector would think of this, he would prob. take it out and swing it around!! Bali may be a little more lax on this but jakarta and a (stiff) Islam law may get your toy impounded and you may be denied access to the country! I'm sure more of the ex-pats are going to chime in on this fast.... FFUUNNYYY .... if its a srap on just wear it!!! just tell them your just real exited to be there!!and you cant help your "gift" ha.ha.ha

Well as odd as a post as this is, I will try to over cum a few problems you may encounter, if this is truely a dilemma for you... There are several states here in the U.S that do not allow the public sale of such devices... most companies box them with labels that give way to other uses for these devices.. Like a box with a women rubbing the back of her neck with the product etcc.. but looking like a huge silicone replica schlong would obviously not be permitted.. there are other devices that may be suitable for the needs and desired effects you may be looking for. One in particular young lady I use to date preffered outer stimulation devices over penetrating devices. And if you are familiar with a womans anatomy you will know why.... But again I concede to the seasoned local advise... anyone?

I tried shipping 2 of them to her along with a bunch of other stuff in a care package and the post office called her in, gave her everything but the toys, and wanted a 1 million rp payoff of them that she refused and so they kept them.

I can't remember when exactly, but I thought I read something about Bali's first "Adult Toys" shop opening somewhere. (Or maybe it was in Jakarta.)

One sees carved wooden dongs all over Bali. Some are functional bottle-openers, etc; others, judging by their size, are wishful thinking.

Maybe you could tell customs it's a memory-stick for a computer and laugh a lot.

With VERY rosy cheeks (don't tell Ani I told yaz!) I must admit I brought thru a couple in August with no worries. I did panic (and did consider consulting the forum but didn't have the balls - latex or otherwise - to ask at the time) that they may be construed as 'pornographic' but then like Sanurian says they have all manner of seedy implements throughout the streets and markets.

I can't imagine you'ld get into trouble to the point where they would deny u entry but. And certainly do not let your partner mistakenly send it back home amongst her belongings to your very muslim mother in law to unpack like my stupid twit did.......

i would imagine in this day and age when many women have these toys and travel around with there plastic pals many would have passed through airport customs but getting any lady to own up to that would be a different matter ....... great post though im buzzin !!!

Some years ago, a lady representative of an international organisation was opening a branch in Bali. She had moved her households which had to be inspected. A Bali resident, lady friend of hers, with the "right" Bali connections, accompanied her to customs to "soften the financial blow." The custom officers took the shipment apart. Included in it was a rather large rubber dildo. Without batting an eye lash, the friend told the officer that, given the times, with AID being rampant, it was much safer for ladies than the real thing. It passed with no problem .

Nope, just chucked em in my toiletry bag within my main suitcase. They'ld almost be invisible by x-ray I would imagine because they are mostly rubber/plastic and the only way they would spot them is if they wanted to do a thorough search of your bag for some other reason. No batteries of course, the last thing u want is for them to start buzzin away accidentally as u go thru customs

My interpretation of the customs declaration was that they were only concerned with pornographic images, not dodgy plastic toys.

Well you've got balls, I'll say that - it's just the rest of it that concerns me.
