Default accommodation in Bali for six weeks

    Hello Everyone,

I will be in Bali in May for six weeks to do some research. I would like to stay in several places, perhaps I can rent a room weekly? I would like to stay in Sanur, Seminyak, and Ubud. I am open for other areas as well as long as it is safe.
My budget is IDR 1.000.000 weekly. Also Yoga place in Seminyak and Sanur?

    many thanks

1,000,000 can be alot or not much in bali.. Seminyak I think its fair to assume you would be payng between 700,000 - 1 mil a night for a room.

    SEMINYAK AREA
A great place to stay near Seminyak is Legian guest house its abut 20 minutes out of uta in rice fields, you DO need a motorbike to stay here though I think $26 USD a night. Brand new, A/C

Suri Wathi is also cheap iin between Melasti & padma. I think thats 200,000 a night but must boo at reception - no contact details on the net. FAN & BATHROOM

Panorama Cottages near Sentral Parkir ( THIS IS KUTA) is cheap, 1 month is 3 mil. Again you have to book there. A/C

Sayang Maha Mertha 125,000 a night w/ fan & bathroom (Lebek Bene, just off Melasti on Kuta side though)

Tune hotels are Double Six jl, semnyak 1,000,000 10 nights hwever they work as the same as budget airlines, you want A/C yu pay, you want towels you pay but they are nice rooms

    SANUR

Prima Cottages are $24 USD per night w/ fan and shower you can get them dwn to $18 a night though

This is the only budget accomo I know of in Sanur but if you go on couchsurfng you will be able to find a place

    UBUD

Raffles Hotel is $27 a night but again ask them for a better price

I dont kow much about Ubud accomo sorry...

In regards to Yoga I would say the best place to look is in the Kuta weekly or bali advertiser..

Bali isnt too crowded in May so you should be fine finding a place to start with then Id keep an eye out for ay adverts/websites (wotif, lastminute, hotelclub) adn book... sometimes hotel club des a $75 joining credit so yu could get a week free accomodation..

My budget is IDR 1.000.000 weekly.
Is that just for your rent, or everything?

A million a week is 52 million/year. You could rent a whole house for that for one year, but not worth the hassle if you're only here for six weeks.

Really, finding a place for Rp 150,000/night shouldn't be all that difficult. Personally, I'd avoid Seminyak.

    What are you "researching"?

    Hey there,

I'm also on the market for an apartment for 2 months - May/June, preferrably near the beach...don't care if in Kuta, Seminyak or wherever. As long as it has strong internet or wi-fi, that's all i care about.

    Budget: $800 USD/CDN/AUD per month

Let me know if you can recommend anything nice.

    HI Johny,
It's just for accommodation. I have land in Bali in Ketewel, near Pantai Purnama. I want to spend sometimes and figured out what to do with it:)

A couple of Balipod members have great accomadation, in Sanur try SanurBeachVillas and near Seminyak try Puri Dukuh homestay. Both have good rooms, good rate and great hosts who will give good advice. I have stayed at both and very impressed.
