I just bought one with DK plates, in the book i can see that the plates have been changed in 1999 and the Kombi is from 1981.....
Wasn't easy to find, and need a lot of attention to make it a good Kombi again, but what the hell, i have one!

    Thanks,

I have owned those in the past-I love VW -simple air cooled engine-easy to pull out and work on...and with v-dubs-you're always working on some part of them - had one catch on fire and a friend wrote off one when she flipped it-but why I gave up on them is because they have no structural steel between your legs and whatever you run into-and so to cut a long story short after buying right-offs for $50 because their drivers were legless....sorry-they are just not safe-you have no motor etc between you and anything you collide with....oh did I mention the brakes?
