I am wondering how to help get a sterilizer from Melbourne to Denpasar and weather to expect landing or other associated costs.
It would also be helpful if air or sea is the best option.
Some of you know I run a transport company so I can manage the logistics here in our country getting it to the airport or dock.
Any advice would be great
Here is the story.
Hi Dasha
have a mission that you may be able to help out with.
On our last trip to Sumba we took the medical team from Interplast with us and we did over seventy operations at the hospital in Wikabubak. The first of 4 missions, one per year for the next 4 years (five in total).
The team comprised of 2 plastic surgeons from OZ and 2 from Indonesia, 2 antitheists and 2 nurses. The team did 150 consultations and over 70 operations most of which were life changing.
I have a DVD of the trip.
One of the areas where we need some improvement is the efficiency of the operating theatre. We are impacting the local operation to much. The key issue is that we had to share a steriliser. While the Sumba Foundation donated a steriliser to the hospital, the unit came from America and under load the transformer kept blowing up.
I have located a steriliser in Melbourne that someone is prepared to donate if I can get it to Bali.
The unit is about 1m x 1m x 1.2m and requires 2 strong people to lift it say 50-70 kg. I need to get it to Bali by the end of this year.
Can you help?
