Do you have a favourite place for a manicure around Ubud?

    Hi Polly,
I am also still looking for a good one here in Ubud. Tried 2 places - but I really can't recommend any of them. The usual stuff, the nail theraphist was not given a good training (esp. in hyggienic - so it's best to bring your own tools), quality of nail polish was not good (it says OPI but I doubt it's OPI inside - or too old already). I haven't given up - am still searching and will let you know once I found the right one.

Zoyra, I'm also still looking. I went to a place today on Monkey Forest Road and my cuticles still are hurting from being cut too much. My fingers are almost bleeding.

Previously, when I stayed in Ubud, I always went to Verona Spa in a lane off Monkey Forest Road. The lane is nearly opposite Pertiwi Resort. Good service and reasonably priced.

Thanks for that Matselah! I will definitely give Verona a try when my nails grow back out and my cuticles heal.

sounds like a business opportunity, anything else you cant find in bali that might be of interest to an entrepeneur

True what you said Tango67, Ubud has many good massage place but doesn't have good manicure and pedicure. I have been in spa business in California for seven years maybe this is a good opportunity in Ubud:) anyone interested?

Matselah, thanks for this recommendation. I tried them today, not for a manicure, but for a pedicure and received the best pedicure I've had in Bali from Vera. I'll definitely be going back to them.
