Internet Television

Postby Bert Vierstra on Wed Apr 26, 2006 10:43 am

Hi,

for those with a fast connection in Bali, or elsewhere, you can watch Television from all around the world on your PC. There are even Indonesian TV stations broadcasting on the net.. (practise your Bahasa!)

That's It !!

That's nice to know, Bert.

However, even if one has a fast broadband connection, how much does it actually cost to watch those channels? Most companies have download packages with limits, as you know. Go over and you pay more per Megabyte.

Just out of interest, how much do you pay and is it really worth it?

I have an unlimited account....

I have been very satisfied, but things have become slower a bit the last few months, but people are working to get it better again....

I pay about 20 times as much as an average broadband account in the Netherlands.

And.. I had to buy the equipment for 4600 USD...

Bert,

"Bahasa"? Pak Jimbo will tell you off!!

Actually, I'm quite worried as well about the cost of fast internet in Bali!! Is there any chance of prices to come down in the next 2 yrs? (Oh please, please......) :(
Greetings from the wet & cold but surprisingly comfortable England.
