You seem to be way out of your league and certainly no where near ready to MOVE to Bali!
Moving here is way different to a one or 2 holiday trip............ there is a lot to know and learn.
And you think u can find accomodation for $100 month?
You have made many posts yeah? and still not listening to any of us that live here!

So many great things and a few bad things that crop up every now again, but the negative things can happen anywhere.

Sometimes I get stressed about this or that, but if think about what I would be doing if I hadn't moved here, they are in the end so trivial. I think a sense of humor helps so much and developing a strong sense of patience.

@ MSVEUVE....I wasn't aware that someone has to qualify for moving to Bali, or that there's a standard to measure if someone is, or is not ready to move to Bali???
The reason for moving to Bali is for everybody something else, and indeed a short holiday is different then living here...so only by moving here one will 'learn' and from learning one will 'know' !! Same like swimming, first you learn how to swim and then you know how to swim :)
Oh and as for the 100USD accomodation...seems that you yourself (Msveuve) still don't know where to search for places in that pricerange ...just a tip, if ya don't search - you won't find it...so there's still something for you to learn here on Bali, since you don't know it all (or you know but can't be bothered, because your commission will be next to nothing). Anyways, me personally wouldn't listen to you either 'cause from several postings you made I get a really nasty vibe from you!!
Sorry to the other members, me going off-thread but I felt like writing this.

so back to the original post....There's so much that will enrich your life, the good but also the less good. It's all life experience that you will soak up like a sponge (spunge, spunch, sorry spellcheck is offline :). Spice, hits the nail on the head...sabar (patience) seems to be one of the favorite words here on Bali, so it helps if you already are a patient man/woman, if not you will certainly learn it here.
    Take care, friendly greetings...gilbert.
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)

    Cool

I know some people living at the back of carefour & they pay 500,000+ power per month, so once you get there & find some friends things will work out. Only two things wrong with Bali, everything works on rubber time & expats
A long long time ago I pack up & went to the hottest place on the map & I love every minute. just keep enough money aside for a ticket home & through the rest to the wind & have the time of your life. I wish I was young again

What part of me do you think makes me not ready? Is it because I refused to rent a place next to ACE hardware for 3.5 million??

Im not sure where you got the impression moving is the same as a holiday. If I thought living there was a holiday you wouldnt have posts like these asking too know everything that I can expect.

I dont think I can find it, I know I can. Friends locals and westerns are renting between 500 - 1.1 a month.

In what post have I not listened t the advice given??

To everyone else, Thank you. Thanks so much I will need to improve my patience

You go, girl! (to coin a black American expression).

When I decided to move to Bali, I left a great paying job I'd had for 11 years, sold my apartment and my Audi and gave away everything that didn't fit into 2 suitcases. All my friends in Australia said I was crazy, but I didn't care.

Life in Bali has not always been easy and it's been a steep learning curve, but I wouldn't change anything (well maybe a couple of things )

If life or God or the universe is telling you to come to Bali, then just do it!

By the way, I love the title of your thread, even if it was a typing error.

Dad has never lived there though, the company is run/part ownership by my uncle (Indonesian) and he will only pay me 600,00 IDR.. a month.. I have asked my aunty but she has been living there for 20 years and believe has a form of residency?? She cannt really remember much as living there has just become like living here I guess..

My cash I was thinking of a bank account? im taking 12,000 AUD with me, my passport Ill definatley have in a safety box.. I have also bught a $1000 travel voucher so I figure that will get my flights to and from singapore t renew the visa but also be able to cme home if anny thing gets bad..

Thanks fr being honest.. Thats all I want. I want to know all good and bad..
