Hi guys,
I'am looking for a used vw combi bus. Many of them are for sale in Java ofcourse with Java plate.
Anybody experience with changing the plate of the vehicle into a DK Bali plate?
Also if somebody knows a volkswagen combi brazil for sale, please let me know.
Thanks,
Hugo
Hugo, the guy who runs a vehicle repair shop on Jalan Sindhu has Volkswagens for sale from time to time. He is just near Kayu Manis restaurant. It may be worth having a chat with him.
hahaha...yeah, ofcourse it can..but not in the sence of 100% legal.
the samsat guy could go through the files/paperwork to find paperwork of a (pajak mati) VW combi bus on DK plates ...and then revive those papers, and match the numbers to
'your' VW.
to 'revive' the paperwork, backtaxes need to be paid on it..
Also the so called vrijwaringsbewijs, is non existent overhere as far as I know. hence people who have a car (wreck) they just stop paying tax on it, car is gone split into spare-parts
and sold, but the paperwork is still at the samsat.
So it's not entirly legal, but then again it ain't totally illegal either..
And if you decide to buy local, please do check the mesin number and framenumber...if you see a clear inprint of 'nummertje tikken' you should get the car cheaper..
btw, do you have a pic of the VW bus you're looking for?
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)
Thanks for the explanation Gilbert.
I'am looking for a Vw Brazil, it's with the corner windows on the back and 2 doors on the side.

Not exactly the type you are looking for,but anyway:
VW Combi Jerman 73 - Mobil dijual Bali - Gianyar - berniaga.com
yeah...I think it's going to be very hard to find the one with the curved glass on the back-corners on Bali...
here's one on sumatra VW Combi Brazil - Tokobagus.com
and another one on Java DIJUAL CEPAT VW COMBI BRASIL TH 80 - Tokobagus.com
the second add actually has two for sale...but be wary.

There is a nice article about VW clubs and recent meeting in Bali in the Jakarta Post:
