    Default Clothing made from sketches

    Hi all.

I'm hoping to have a few sketches I've drawn made up into clothes. Has anyone had any experience with having clothes made from sketches (not samples or photos).

I could really use any advice, tips, referrals as I've never had anything made from drawings before. Sketches are not fantastic so I guess I'm really looking for someone that it is good at interpreting ideas and communicating.

I live in Canggu if that is any help.

    Cheers
    Kimberley

BTW -I thought I'd posted this before but can't find it. My apologies if there is a similiar post that for some reason or another is not showing up in my threads started by me.

    Hi Latah,
We have some of our clothes made here still, there is one particular factory that may be OK to ask. They don't speak excellent English but I can stumble through. You would have to know exactly what you want to do, with which materials and be able to convey it 100%. They normally demand something of a sample to begin with. Do you have an item similar to the one you wish to create?

If you PM me I can send you the contact info.

    Cheers,
    Mark.

    Thanks Mark and Tony.

At this stage I've only got a few things to make. I think I'm going to try getting the artist down at the beach to do some better sketches for me...he's very talented and has great English. Pretty sure he'll be able to get a lot closer to what I'm trying to represent.

Can anyone recommend a good dressmaker in Canggu or anywhere in the south? I'll see how I go with a good translator, decent drawings & materials.

    Cheers
