I understand that Matahari and probably other similar stores [?] sell Clinique skin care products. Are they genuine/real Clinique? [I have heard there are a lot of fake cosmetics floating around these days.]
And does anyone know what their prices are like compared with buying duty free at Australian airports?
There are a lot of fake products in Indonesia. If you want to be sure and safe, I thinks it's better to buy them at duty free or big department store such as SOGO.
Thanks for that. You get what you pay for ... Think I'll stock up at the airport duty free counter before I leave.
I think the ones in Centro/Matahari are real from the counters... but I think the prices are pretty similar. Just depends on the exchange rate on the day...
In the Netherlands Clinique Loose Powder costs about 30 euros..
In Changi they cost around 88 Sgd Dollar.. 57,68 euros..780 000 Rupiah
Try the duty free area in BALI MALL GALERIA.. I havent been there yet, let me know if the price are cheaper.. if you are afraid of any fake Clinique products, ask for testers and compare with your old ones, they wouldnt mind if they are a serious seller..
Funny though that you have posted this thread, my friend just had an allergic reactions to one lipstick "product".. it gave her a hard time, one week stayed at home ....

Actually, any product that is imported into China has the possibility of being forged - this is because companies have to give the authorities a complete list of ingredients so the counterfeit products often are very similar to the real deal - neally impossible for a normal person to tell the difference.
Your best bet is to buy from a large department store or duty free shops are probably better. you will never know though unless buying through a reputable salon/business in Australia.
P.S clinique would have to be one of the worst products to use on your skin - totally chemical. so many people have bad reactions and do you really want to layer on petrochemical based products?????
try to look for youngblood, or similar mineral based products much better for you.
But but.. their natural black mascara is the only gunk I wil put on my lashes. (i'm also a mineral makeup junk ie but to each their own right)
