Could someone help me out with some advise about how to use these Balinese triangular round-abouts.
There truly seems to be no rhyme or reason to there use. Some people go around, other cut across and the best part is that your view of intersecting traffic is obscured by the triangle-about itself - further adding to the kamikaze-like experience.
It seems that it's just the one with the biggest swinging dick that gets to go first. This description includes petite 65lb. secretaries in smart business suits on mopeds.
I haven't killed anybody yet but that may change.
I guess I gotta be more specific - if you are coming up to one of these things and want to turn left, say. Traffic that is coming from your left can go between you and the round/triangle about. Now you (I) have to wait/look out for traffic coming from in front, from the right (cant see it cause the centre piece is in the middle) and traffic passing you from behind.
Now anyone seems to be able to go any time any where.
I guess the best thing is to get a driver or some of Ford Prefect's panic glasses (they go opaque at the slightest sign of danger). 8)

Am I enjoying this? You bet I am. It's a great Thanksgiving Day present! :P
I guess it must just be me, oh well. Eyes closed and through the middle.... :!:
But do keep your eye on that LPG truck my uncle is driving!
I'm sure that since he's your uncle he owns the company and is adequately insured...
Markit, I am not quite sure what you mean by triangular roundabouts but if you mean the ones they have at T junctions, it seems to be the shortest route to the road you want, is the way to go. For instance if you are approaching and the turn is on your left, dont go past the "triangle" to enter the left hand lane, just enter the right hand lane.

Do you have any idea what can happen in an accident involving one of these LPG carrier trucks? Trust me, insurance, or no insurance, it wouldn't matter! :lol:I'm sure that since he's your uncle he owns the company and is adequately insured...
