Agreed, the Republican candidate isn't my first choice but I will "always vote".
Ah yes,
Ted Kennedy, the liberal lion or, is it the lyin' liberal, I can't decide which, just remember Chappaquidic.
Roy, I'm surprised you haven't realized that the lump growing out of the left side of McCain's face is Kuato from the movie "Total Recall" I'm pretty sure this will be his choice for vice presidential running mate and it would be a much more sensible choice than Mitt Romney (Kuato being much more dignified, honest and photogenic.)
If BO (I like that Milan, BO, bauk secali!) becomes our president, he will be the first affirmative action presidential nominee in the history of this nation, an historic occasion for sure, one which we may all live to regret.
People are expecting the next president to be the ultimate frontman in the world theater. Constitutionally, he's not supposed to be anything more than a glorified cheerleader, with veto power, unfortunately, we've grown accustomed to presidents who've abused their executive order authority, to avoid being held in check by the legislative and judiciary branch, a purposeful and brilliant design conceived by the founding father's.
"The accumulation of all power, legislative, executive and judiciary in the same hands....may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." --James Madison Federalist 46
Before any meaningful turn around can ever be accomplished, executive order authority needs to be reigned in and tightly curtailed, thereby restoring balance betwixt the three branches of government.
Bush and Cheney should be facing domestic and international criminal charges for their abuses of executive order authority, there is an existing constitutional obligation at present to impeach and imprison both of these dogs for what they've done and continue to do right under our noses.

I just happen to keep an avatar of Kuato handy for appropriate use in case anyone doesn’t know what Kuato looks like:

Is this McMansion or his younger brother? (He couldn't possibly have an older one who is still walking this earth  )
By the way, did anybody else notice how many McCain ads there are on this Forum? I may be mistaken, but I don't recall seeing one add for Obama. What's the matter Bert, Obama cannot meet your tariffs?
Keep on smiling.

I care, Roy. And grudgingly I have to admit that Michele, Hillary, Bill (didn't stay up last night to watch him but got at 4 AM right when Joe Biden's son introduced the father), and Joe Biden's family were fabulous!!! Saw snippets of Bill and he was fantastic!
But am looking forward to the Republican's Convention too.
Wow! What a historic night last night. I were an American, I would be so proud of America. Proud to be an American. Look at this man. A poor black boy grew up in a home with a single mother working, going to school, no father, and he goes to Harvard, and now is the Presidential nominee for the Democratic party. No matter what you are or who you would vote for it is just pretty darn exciting I think.
Let's see what the McCain camp pulls off next week. They better come up with something to beat the energy of this week.
I love all this political stuff. So much fun.
Right now, something exciting is unfolding. Looks like McCain will be true to his "maverick" reputation. He's most probably going to pick a real conservative who's curent a governor of Alaska and a woman! Sarah Palin.
Any minute now they're going to announce and yes, the reason why I didn't care out of the two although Obama is phenomenal, was because substance was missing in Obama imo. He's magic, etc., and his last night's speech was more of a prose at last and not the usual lofty and flowery and I was entranced.
But still, I'd prefer McCain especially if Sarah Palin would be his vice president.
Unfortunately, I can't vote. Am not an American...
Interesting pick Milan. After my eldest daughter who voted in her first election recently for Governor Pastika asked if she could vote for Obama ,I went out in the neighborhood to see what my neighbors thought. 100% for Obama. Why? All of them said basically the same thing. They'd like to see a less aggressive America and one that was more of a team player.
On a personal note, as someone who joined the civil rights movement when I was just a young teenager and went through being spat on and hit with rocks and arrested and beaten by cops and thugs, this was a day that I thought would never happen in my lifetime. The whole day brought up a lot of the past. I know where my vote is going.
Bert,
I agree that it is an interesting pick...
Her prior experience is phenomenal...mayor of a town in Alaska, population 5,400, and Governor of the state of Alaska for less than two years...since December 2006.
Since McCain will be the oldest nominee (for a first term President) in US history, and a cancer survivor, it really makes me wonder where his head’s at!
It should be real fun to watch the VP debates! Biden will have to be careful to not totally destroy her.
