Thread: Slaping Em on the Gilis

Ok figured it's about time for another rant so those that have weak stomachs leave now.

Is it me or are young people now days particularly stupid?

I've been on the Gilis for a few days just looking around and doing some snorkelling, eating fish and just enjoying life and I'm surrounded by these 19 to 23 year old "kids" carrying rucksacks as big as they are that are all spending the day reading in some Bale then all night sitting in various restaurants telling each other how cool it is in Indonesia and that the 3rd world really isn't so tough after all and OH, waiter bring me another seafood pizza and cold Bintang all to the sounds of rap/disco/whatever.

Now us old farts remember sitting in a local bus for 12 hours going from Peshwar to Delhi or from Bangkok to Chaing Mai - these kids are suffering if they have to use sugar instead of sweet and low in the Machiato Cappacino...

Old farts unite and take back the world - we are supposed to give them a better one but fuck me...

And get off my lawn!
