Ah yes, I spent the summer of 1991 on the Cote d'Azur, Nice, Cannes, Anitibes, Monaco, St Topez ... know where I'd rather be right now. Have fun!

FreoGirl, You've been around the world, how lucky! I would like to go to Greece but it's seems as though we never have the time. We just work..work...work... and work here. :(
Next week we'll go to Cape Cod in MA (it always makes me feel good when I'm near the Ocean, don't know why). We've been waiting for 6 months to take this little vacation.
FreoGirl are you in Bali or Australia?? As I'm reading, your location is in Fremantle Aus.
I would rather be in Bali too, I'm still kind of leery about the heatlh care in Bali though.

    Hi Liz
I'm currently living in Fremantle, Western Australia. My husband is from Lombok and we have lived there too, but for now are nose to the grind-stone and working hard trying to get enough money together so we can live in Indonesia.

I have travelled a bit, in 87 I chucked in my executive job at an advertising agency and travelled for around 7 years, with some lengthyish stays in a couple of places. In 91 I found myself working on a private yacht in the Mediteranean, hence the summer on the Cote d'Azur.
Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and 'do it'. Don't worry about health care and stuff like that - you can get sick at home and get bad medical care there too. Things often have a way of working themselves out if they are meant to be.

    Hi ladies!

Thanks for your posts. I'll try to send pictures, Sumatera, but let me rest from this holiday first.... Why don't you send yours so we could see the place of your holiday too.

Freogirl, such interesting experiences you've had on this part of the world. Do tell us more...!!

Great, you're back. Just upload your photos to Flickr and once there you can adjust to the size of your preference and download them here. Sorry to hear your husband and son got sick on your return.

FYI, hubby actually declined taking photos as we've been to this part of France so many times previously that it's no longer a novelty added by the fact that it's not up his alley to take pictures. But I'll try to send one more postcard and perhaps a few okay photos. I myself was too distracted (being the person that I am, normally ) added by the impulsive decision taken by hubby to get me an iPhone out of the blue. I didn't expect it though, yet at the same time he murmured things by saying: "I'll lose you"... :( Well, he did! My time from that moment on has been spent on studying, trying, testing, being delighted by discoveries of tricks and shortcuts and the marvelous things this little phone could offer besides on being on its forum. It has a very nice feel to it when you hold as it fits perfectly in your palm.
Except for a few hitches here and there, I love it!! Doesn't have MMS nor video recorder which is a disappointment though but other than those, it spoils you and I love to be spoiled...
