If blood will flow when fresh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrows rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetimes argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
How fragile we are how fragile we are

Memento mori
Memento te hominem esse
What were you doing that day?
I was there a month earlier as I left Milan to be in New York on 22nd May, 2001. Attended a graduation at Lincoln Centre. Then an evening at the Performance by the American Ballet at the same place that was organised by an American lady friend of mine. Then on 15th June left for Los Angeles to be with my brother's family there until August 17, 2001. Stayed a night in New York on my way back to Milan the day after.
A month later in my bedroom in Milan, I happened to have the tv on.
The rest is history. (I have photos of me with the Twin Towers in the background but I couldn't erase at least my face so as to show where I stood).
"Blessed be to all those who perished, all those who rescued, and all those who have died as a result and the families they left behind"
Amen.
The truly sad thing is that it's gonna happen again at some stage..how little they've learned.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but...,I'm not really sure how three enormous buildings pancaked into their own footprints in under 9 seconds. (free fall speed)
Particularly confusing is the third building WTC#7, which wasn't struck by a 100 ton jetliner at 400 plus mph. :?
Don
it truly is one of the most horrific things to ever be captured on video..
it makes me wonder what the videos might have looked like in baghdad neighbourhoods when bombs from a unilateral force showered the city and killed women and children.. explosions that liquified the bones of 4 year old children, 3 year onld children, 2 year old children, month old babies that were being nursed by their mothers.. imagine waking up in the middle of the night to an earth shaking explosion and running into the next room to find your 3 year old daughter severed into 6 pieces.. i for one become nauseous when i close my eyes and try to imagine what that would be like - just like i do when i try to imagine what it was like being a passenger on one of those planes or in that burning tower.. so the outcomes were the same, many would argue that the outcomes of the iraq war have been far more malicious and brutal.. so if the hijackers were terrorists and the "supposed" states that sponsored them were state sponsors of terror, what does that make coallition soldiers and the states that pay their wages and provide their weapons?
