House sharing/swapping

Postby Markit on Wed Nov 14, 2007 11:22 pm

As one who loves to travel and am also looking at settling down in Bali - if that isn't too much of a contradiction in terms I would be very grateful about any information you may have about the success or failure of house swapping into Bali.

My dream would be to have a small house in or around Lovina or Ubud and to be able to exchange it on a monthly basis with people from other parts of the planet, with, of course, theirs - wherever it may lie.

These schemes seem to work quite well in and around the major cities such as New York, London or Munich but I'm not too sure about the more distant destination. There seem to be quite a few on offer from Bali but they look to be on more of a rental basis than purely an exchange - it's kind of hard to tell.

Any info would be gratefully accepted.
