Sounds like this may have really back fired.
'Bali boy' TV deal falls throughA six-figure TV deal for the teenage boy facing drug charges in Bali has fallen through.
Channel Nine has now pulled out of the deal after child welfare advocates accused the boys parents of abusing his situation.
The Chief Prosecutor in the case has also hinted it may impact the Bali court's decision.
But Entertainment reporter Peter Ford believes Channel Nine won't be able to stay away from the story.

This has to be the DUMBEST and MOST IRRESPONSIBLE thing to do by the parents. What do you think is going to happen to their poor kid? I guess he will be able to take his time writing his book from jail...And I do not blame the judges for that: they are put in a position such that no deal can be made. These kid's parent should be shot, or more realistically, sent to jail themselves i.s.o. of the kid, who is now sure to get an hefty sentence.
