Floods triggered by incessant heavy rains since Wednesday, have inundated residential areas in Badung District and Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali.

The floodwaters were one-and-a-half meters deep in places such as Padang Sambilan, where seven houses were submerged.

There have been no reports of injuries or deaths.

Floods have also been reported in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Java, Banten, Southeast Sulawesi and South Kalimantan.

Floodwaters submerged at least 60 houses in Mataram, the capital of Lombok, following incessant downpours.

The flood triggered by heavy rains since Tuesday, inundated residential areas and roads, according to a source on Wednesday.

Floodwaters reaching a height of 75 centimeters submerged the Kebon Roek traditional market as well as houses in the Telaga Emas, Bintaro Jaya and Dayen Paken areas.

Also since Tuesday evening, floodwaters have inundated Pasuruan and paralyzed Java’s northern coastal highway in East Java province.

The downpour has caused the Welang River to overflow and submerge the Tambakrejo road at Kraton in waters one meter deep.

In Pamekasan district, Madura Island, East Java, floods have inundated thousands of hectares of tobacco plantations.

In Lebak district, Banten province, one-meter deep floodwaters inundated dozens of houses forcing residents to evacuate to higher ground.
