Default Vegetarian food - best place to eat please?

I'm really warming to veggies, although I would not call myself a vegan by any means. Still,l I have lost weight by concentrating on eating well and am feeling better for it.
Do you know any great Vegetarian restaurants in Bali?
I am staying in Kuta this time - and will probably get around on foot and taxi. (Have just returned to Oz after 4 weeks there and got fed up to the back teeth of being pulled over by the 'boys with the outstretched hands' in my car - I've had 30 years of traveling to Bali but have never been pulled over as much as last trip!) Thanks in advance dear people!

Try Colonial Living in jalan Kunti, Seminyak. Good value and great food.

Oh, I forgot Aroma's Cafe on jalan Legian, between jalan Melasti and jalan Benesari. Great food but a little more expensive.

I'm also no vegetarian but I very often eat food without meat, you could literally enter any nasi campur place and choose rice, vegetables, potatoes, Fish (?) and egg....

    I like it very much!!

I work in the desert and, when I'm on a long haul, I cannot get fresh fruit and vegetables. I CRAVE fruit and veggies, I really do. I wish there were lovely things to eat without all the carbs (rice potatoes and noodles). I don't mind brown rice but I have never found it in Indonesia - in a restaurant setting at least. Thanks for your kind response, I really am appreciating the welcoming nature of the forum and the members therein :)

Try Happy Vegetarian at Jl. Ahmad Yani 47, Singaraja (at north of Bali) , Kayuputi at St. Regis Bali Resort in Nusa Dua, Zula Vegetarian Paradise at Seminyak.

bali buddha, jalan semer, banjar anyar (and ubud)
little green cafe, near corner of sunset and metasari and another one on sunset in that eco bamboo place

you can find nasi merah, red rice, in quite a few places - the wonderful warung sulawesi on petitenget is one that comes to mind
