    Default liquor shortage?

    Has the Government sorted out the import situation yet? If not what is the current way to go about purchasing food liquor(fine spirits) and food products??

    In Makassar there is only local beer and sprits :( I think it is universal over Indonesia

    I am not sure exactly what is meant by
    food liquor(fine spirits
    but there I see imported spirits like Smirnoff, Jack Daniels etc in my little local supermarket..

    Jimbo,not surprised about Makassar,But hey, beer tastes great when in south Sulewesi!!
    Gilbert,are you saying there is vodka(absolut,stolichnaya) available for purchase,not that Mansion house crap!! Mimpijust got your post as I was posting!Thats good news,fine spirits are the real deal ,i.e.Smirnoff ,not Mansion house which is Arak with Aroma,not the real deal.

    Yeah, smirnoff, jim Bean, Jack Daniels(red,black,blue),Southern Comfort, Chivas Regal, Courvoisier, Hennesy, Glen Fiddich, Jose Cuervo etcetc...Beers--Heineken, and I forgot the name of that dark beer, but that's also here.
    And also Imported food is available, different store hahaha but available.
    don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)

    Hi Gilbert, That's what I'm talking about!! One last question,before(8months ago) the price of say..a bottle of Smirnoff was 130,000RP how about now??

    Thought of you walking in Hardy's today.

    Shot some bad pictures of the abundance of booze in the North...

    Johnny Walker Black Label is 949.000 Rupiah, but I also saw a gift set of over 2 million.

    I bought (Indo) Dutch Jenever (at least, that how its called), in one of those small bottles, it was 5.500 rupiah 8)
