    Default Bali Brunch buffet?

We just came back from Jakarta and really enjoyed the sunday buffet at one of the big hotels there- can anyone tell me if there is something similar in Bali?

I often travel to JKT and get decently priced hotels that have amazing breakfast/brunch/lunch buffets.

Last time was 2 weeks ago at the Park Lane JKT (700,000 a night). Truly amazing spread.

Ive found similar in Bali, but only when paying top dollar (Westin in Sanur) ie.200$ Us a night or more.

You wont get the the same value for money in Bali when it comes to this kind of thing.

Yeh, they do some cracking Sunday brunch deals here in Bangkok as well, also very reasonably priced.

I'm back in Bali next month and would also be keen to hear of any other places that do them. Does anywhere in Seminyak/Jimbaran have decent ones?

Hi. Now it aint cheap and it's in Ubud but for an unbeatable (quality, view etc) Sunday brunch - try the Como Shambala Estate. I have been there many times for brunch in the hills - but not for a couple of years so call them first to check. I have not been there for a few years - but hopefully... Petengo - have you been to the Indian buffet at the Rembrandt on a Sunday? Another unmissable on the 27th floor there. Cheers, Stu

It may have just been our bad luck or planning but when the best woman in the world (bwiw) and our daughter where over in January we could not find a buffet meal anywhere on the island, not in Nusa Dua, Sanur or Kuta. The seem to have died out and when talking to the staff they say there wasn't the interest anymore. As a side note I did find out that the big hotels do do buffet deals but only for Chinese tourists that come in masses and only when they are there :x

    Mobius,

No, havent been to the Rembrandt brunch here in BKK but caught an excellent one at the Marriott on the river a week back. Every conceivable dish imaginable, fresh seafood, BBQ, tenderloin, Indian, Thai, all excellent quality plus boucoup wines and cocktails thrown in. Made up for having to pass on Sunday golf !

I'm through Bali just for the day next week but will be back there with the Mrs for the last week of May so will definately try the Como Shambala estate. Cheers for the tip.

No, 700,000 for the night (not for the meal), buffet brunch INCLUDED.......pretty common deal with Jakatra hotels offering weekend deals.
