Ayam Goreng

Postby charlie on Tue May 23, 2006 4:18 am

My most all time favourite food and the first dinner i have when i land in Bali is Ayam Goreng from near the cross roads at Munggu, the yummiest ayam kampung lightly battered with a serving of steaming hot nasi putih and crisp kol with the most awesome sambal ever !!!!! :D I am so homesick.....

Hi Charlie, That sounds really good!! Just finished a house in Kaba-Kaba, so I pass this way regularly(when in Bali) on the road from Canggu to Munggu. Is this place at the crossroad that go Pantai Seseh(south) and Munggu(north)??

That's the one :D !!!!!!!! from about 5pm onwards. If you're coming from Canggu it's on the left hand side, right on the corner, just as you've gone through the intersection heading towards Tanah Lot. :D oooh my mouth is watering !!!!!! it's lunchtime and very cold here and i'm having a toasted sandwich while trying to do my uni assignment

Charlie,
Those "crunchy" bits aren't stomach...the little salty rings??? They're a little lower on the GI tract.
Ok, truce...now you've got me with a plate of nasi in the microwave...
You should see my family at thanksgiving when the turkey comes out of the oven...Its almost sickening, like a pack uf vultures ripping all the bits of golden skin off the crispy bird. Its macabre, poor thing. Poor delicious thing.

I could never be a vegetarian, I'm afraid. Hmm, maybe if animals weren't made of meat I might have a fighting chance.
OH! Nasi's hot!

Night-night!
