the war against mozzies:
coils
mesh on beds
and when you're feeling like a bit of one-on-one action those tennis raccquet things (you can buy them at bintang super) for a bit of mozzie bashing
we tried fogging a few times - it didn't seem that effective at our place but i know people who swear by it
we have ceiling fans in each room and also aircon in bedrooms (which we use for half the year)
be aware that aircon really hikes up your electricity (do a search on this forum for details)

Thanks Phil,
An image of my husband with a tennis racquet thing! I am sure that would scare the Mozzies away.
I have seen plenty about cost of running air con but I feel we would need one in the bedroom. Otherwise I certainly hope we get a place with lots of ceiling fans.
I have never heard of fogging!!!!
When Dengue Fever cases occur in a particular area, "they" are likely to come and fog. They have machines which can atomize the insecticide into very tiny droplets that, in still weather, just drifts around like smoke and will get into all the open areas of a house. Sometimes there is warning, sometimes not. Who are "they"? I guess they are from the Regency Government and maybe from a Health Department.
