Meerkat.
On the Bali Navigator website it says that there is 4 different locations in Bali that sells the system and also possible to buy On-line.
Here is a link to the different stores:
Where can I find a Bali Navigator dealer?
I bought my mapsytem in the end of 2009 in Sanur at Kite & Surf Bali Pro, Jl. Cemera No. 72.
Good luck.

Hi Mate,
I really like Sidakarya, its a strategic location and close to stuff but also far enough away if you get me. I have lived in Denpasar for over 3 years now and I love it although I am on the other side to where you will be. Depends what you like but if you dont mind peak hour traffic then its not too busy and there are loads of places to eat and you have the main post office, imigrasi etc all very close. I think of DPS as a town rather than a city.
Regards getting around I would go for a bike for busy times. It can get pretty slow in a car in peak hours, I couldnt think of anything worse tbh. As for learning your way around there is nothing better than just heading down gangs and streets and follow your nose. its so small you always get where you need to be in the end. GPS way overkill imo.
Good luck with your move.
PS> I actually tried to reply to this when I first read this but it has taken this long for the mods to activate my account ...
Two posters in this thread have used the term "strategic location" to mean a good or prime location. It has also become fashionable to use for advertising property, but it doesn't make sense in English.

Thanks for the encouragement. We will get a chance to experience it all this July and August but it sounds good. I am ready to live closer to the
action now for a lot of reasons including convenience. And if we have a car and a motorbike we can always get out. All the Best, Ricker
Nice strategy Ricker. Totally strategic man ;)
Language and especially English, is constantly changing and words take on extra meanings and connotations based on usage. Those changes are not reflected quickly by dictionaries. As far as picking a location to live in Bali is concerned I think the use of "strategic" is very appropriate. I like that you care about language, however.
