As it looks right now, I won't have enough time to get my sosbud while in the states, so I will get my VOA when I arrive and fly to singapore within the month.

before I order my tickets on Lion Air which was the cheapest flight I found, I want to know, what is their policy after you book the ticket online? The airline I am flying into Bali on (china aiirlines) says i need to show proof of an onward ticket, in order to board the plane. their proof is the ticket, or copy of the ticket itself, or a conformation number. Lion Air's website only mentions a booking number and a payment code.

Cali you really need to contact the airline for that kind of information. Even if someone can answer such a specific question concerning a particular airline's policy, it would be wise to check with the airline that rely on someone else's information.

I tried, but was unable to understand anyone I spoke with and they were pretty unable to understand me. There was no listing of a US contact number or even of an english speaking country.

Lion Air's website only mentions a booking number and a payment code.

The booking number is the confirmation number I believe. The payment code is only useful for a couple of hours while you get to an ATM to pay (if you are not using credit card).

Cali, after you book online, an E-ticket will be sent to you by email, usually within 24 hours, if not the same day. This can be printed as proof of your onward journey.
