What a way to start the new year

After spending Christmas in the hospital in Bali with a swollen foot and a couple of dark purple sore on both feet of unknown origin, I thought things were pretty crappy. As things got progressively worse and my foot became more and more swelled and the large unsightly sores began to multiply 3 fold everyday, I started seeing doctors at BIMC (way out of my budget). After doctors at BIMC scratching their heads and prescribing random medication and antibiotics (which were very expensive) just to "give it a try", I decided on New Years day that I needed to go to SIngapore. I'm sitting in Singapore General Hospital right now where they are running tests and making the doctors at BIMC look like a bunch of medical students. Will probably be here for about a week or so. Happy New Year everyone!

BTW this post isn't to complain about BIMC or Bali hospitals, I'm just venting...

Dr. House would say "hmmm, purple swollen feet - has he been to France lately? Involved in stamping grapes maybe"?

Hope you get better soon - I stomped on a nail in beach sandals about 3 months ago and went promptly (3 days later is promptly here) to the Dr. who fecked around in the wound with all manner of sharp pointed instruments causing me to swear a great deal, something I almost never do.

She told me it was all better and charged me 2 milli and sent me home - 2 months later it starts to swell up and something wants to get out - kinda like "Alien" only smaller, but not much.

All better after the "alien" birth and I am now the proud father of a cotton swab :cry:

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh...that sucks man! Vent as much as you like! I can only wish you a better health for 2010...You're sure you're not allergic for alcohol? :D

If I am you might as well just shoot me now. I really doubt it though, don't know why I would break out in my feet from alcohol or any other sort of allergy. Still waiting on some answeres, looks at this point like I'm going to be here for at least a week.

Wow, sorry to hear about your bad luck. I think going to Singapore is a wise decision. So they have wifi in the hospital?

Yea, it's pretty much the same wifi that they have in the airport, I use the login and password as the airport. Good enough for browsing, skype has been tough though.
