I’d like to introduce to you all some very intimate photographs of one of my absolutely top gals of all gals on Bali.

Known only as “Ibu” this classic “wanita dari Bali” sucks the life giving juices out of any Hollywood movie star I have ever seen, or met. Character is defined in her face, her body, and her pose.

When those questions come up, like, “what is the real Bali?”…in my mind, a picture tells all, and fully answers the question. She’s beautiful and she is “asli”, a real beauty within any definition of real.

For me, I find my way, living on Bali, from the elders…the ones who know. They are too old to bullshit, and to close to death to lie. Not always easy to get close to, and certainly not given much attention by their younger family, these older folks can, and will share a story of Bali that you’ve never heard, or read before.

Bali asli? Want to know? It’s all right here, and willing to be shared by these wonderful ancestors. Ancestors. That is what all of Galungan and Kuningan is about. I say, love them, and talk to them before they make the journey.

She looks like my grandma from my mom, by face, body, everything! My grandma passed away in 1994. But she never left my heart.. I didn't bring her pics to France and I really miss my grandma.. thank's Roy, even that pics is not my grandma, but enough to fill my missing feeling.. :cry: :cry:

Rhone-Alpes... this is my region of origine as well. Well I was born in Aix en Provence 54 years ago. My family leave in Valence Drome. My wife was born in Sulawesi but it met her in Balikpapan almost 20 years ago, and like most of the people here we are thiking of retiring in Bali. For the time being I am in Boston USA.
South of France is one of the best place to be.....when in France
