Default Ubud area hangouts for expats

We'll be in the Ubud area for a couple of weeks in January. Are there coffee houses and other venues where the expats tend to hang out? We would like to chat with a few about their experiences in Bali.

One of the best places is Pizza Bagus on Saturday morning. The small organic market attracts the local expats and some of them are inside having a coffee. I've always thought I would go there and just introduce myself if I had an expat craving. So far that hasn't happened.
Kafe seems like an easy place to just introduce yourself to tourists or expats hanging out. Juice Ja is another.
At night maybe Jazz Cafe would be a place to meet people. Not sure. I've only been there once with friends but enjoyed the food, the music, and the atmosphere.

The salad in Pizza Bagus is GREAT!! Most of the cafés in Ubud (expats & wlan) are around the football field (Jalan dewi sita, jalan monkey forest, jalan raya ubud), I like Tutmaks! the Naughty Nuri's (Campuhan) is for Drrunken Masterrs THE Place (why always full with asian tourists!?!)

Default Let's make a Balipod meeting

We'd be happy to propose a balipod get together somewhere in Ubud when you are here. Suggest a date about a week ahead, and I will be happy to post the invitation.

What a kind gesture! When we get our dates in order I might take you up on your offer! And thanks to the rest of you for your tips. We'll use them.

Default Places to go in ubud

Cinta located on Monkey Forest Road half way down on the left, great atmosphere and half price Mojitos from 4pm until 7pm
3 Monkeys restaurant also on MF Road, good food and rice field views, great at night
XL Lounge alongside the football field, good live music
Cafe Havana - Cuban food and Salsa dancing, great fun Jalan Dewi Sita
Cafae Mocha - good for breakie or lunch also on Dewi Sita
Just a few that came to mind

    Have fun
I have just learnt that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing them off is a piece of cake

And next door to XL Shisha Lounge is Deli Cat - another expat haunt worth a visit.

True, but the atmosphere is not the same since Gunther (the owner) died. But their schnitzel with mash potato and salad is to die for.
Fly Cafe in west of Sanggingan, aussie owned, great live music on a saturday night, excellent food and good quality wine!!!
Naughty Nuri's is a total tourist place!!! Last time I was there a very large rat fell on the head of a Japanese woman, who was horrified, and equally upset when they tried to make her pay the bill
